Welcoming, Cucumbers (And the New Committee)
Dear cropsharers and members
As many of you are aware, this week we elected a new committee. We are meeting this Wednesday to discuss positions etc. And we will inform you in due course of the arrangements in that regard.
We are happy to invite back into the committee:
- Hannah Watkins
- Karen Dahlgren
- Aaron Dudfield
We are even happier to see some brand new faces on the committee:
- Pam Bellinger
- Charlotte Jones
- Sara Worrall
- Andrea Beattie
- Margaret Dixon
The members at the AGM also voted another member, Anna Leonard-Willams, however,
due to the number of people on the committee, Anna has kindly decided she will support
from a membership position instead.
We are very grateful for the uptake of committee roles and we look forward to the exciting
movement forward this change will bring! We'll be in touch with updated on positions of
committee members soon.
This week
This week, after Ben had cleared the runnerbean bed, Karen, Hannah and Sara put up the
bean poles and planted the runnerbeans, Sara acrobatically planted celery, dancing
between the metal hoops – as one does when celery planting (lesson noted: never just take
the hoops out. Always dance acrobatically). Charlotte and Isla potted up brassicas.
We'd like to say a thank you to everyone who got involved at the community day. Brilliant
progress forward in preparation. Of the next stages of growing.
AND... we are seeing the first of the cucumbers!
The next letter will follow with more details about the committee and some exciting updates!
Thanks to all who attended the AGM.
Forward looking,
The Committee
